About
Learn AI by doing, from basic Python to deep models.
This platform trains for the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI), the worldwide AI competition for high-school students. Born to prepare the French delegation during the French AI Olympiad (OFIA) training camps, it is now used by students and national teams from 75+ countries preparing for the IOAI.
You start with a bit of Python and end up training deep networks and fine-tuning a pretrained model. No detours, no copy-pasting, no two-hour videos.
The method
Every exercise starts with a problem to solve: by working through it, you build your intuition. Theory comes only afterwards, to put words on what you already discovered in practice.
The 6 levels
- Level 1 : Python, NumPy, handling data
- Level 2 : Regression, classification, k-NN, trees
- Level 3 : Gradient descent, loss functions, regularization
- Level 4 : Neural networks, CNNs, embeddings
- Level 5 : Sequences, attention, transformers, language models
- Level 6 : Frontier problems: where standard recipes plateau, finding the hidden structure
Languages
The platform is available in French and English. More languages will follow.
For coaches and national delegations
This platform is built to be the training ground for the national pools preparing for the IOAI. It stays free for students; coaches also get tools to run their group:
- Gather your pool into a group and track each student's progress.
- Open the levels and chapters of your choice to your students, at your own pace.
- Rely on a structured, secure path, from zero to IOAI problem-solving level.
Do you coach a team or a national pool? Write to us for a coach account. contact@artix.tech
Price
Training on the platform is free for students.
Who is behind it
The platform is built by Jules Pondard. A former olympiad competitor (three medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics, 36th worldwide in 2013), he did AI research at Meta AI (FAIR), then at Mila under the supervision of Yoshua Bengio, after studying at École normale supérieure (MVA master's in machine learning). He has trained olympiad students since 2013 and accompanied the French team at the IOI in 2016. In 2025 he founded the French AI Olympiad, and he has coached France's IOAI team ever since.
